Another unremarkable day. The anxiety over the election has replaced the anxiety over health and money as the primary impediment to my working. Sunny most of the day, clouds moving in this afternoon. The thunder began a little while ago. Our high was 90˚F. It is currently 86˚F, with the heat index at 94˚F.

I went to bed at two thirty, was asleep by three, and Kathryn didn't wake me until almost noon. I haven't slept nearly that much at a stretch in many, many months.
